Three things to enjoy started in 2020 as a way of sharing some of the things I found in my bookmarks. Today I’m leaving Chile, meaning I’m packing, organizing, and will be in transit so this is a short newsletter, and a classic one too, sharing three links that I found recently and three images made with them.
1. ASCII art generator
Found this tool that makes any image into ASCII but also converts it into an interactive and embeddable HTML snippet. As some of my favorite tools on the internet: free to use, no login required.
2. Super Shapes
I’m not sure how I got to this tool, also not sure where and how I’m going to use it exactly, but it makes beautiful and interesting parametric shapes. I love the interface, it reminds me of architectural drawings, which makes sense because it was made by a software engineer and former architect, Dr. Andrew Marsh, make sure to check some of his other browser-based tools. Here’s another one that shows beautiful interactive sun-path diagrams.
3. DotWork
Dot work is an image maker tool by E.A.S.E. – Everything And Something Else, most of the things on their website are physical objects, and then there is this one tool that transforms images into dots, with different settings, really cool to play around and I’m enjoying the minimalistic nature of the whole site. Again, free to use, no login required, just click around and have fun.
Hope you enjoy and make something with these tools, if you do, I’d love to see them! Feel free to leave a comment, I love looking at pictures on the internet.
Have a great week!
